11/17 Family Ravioli Making Workshop

from 45.00

Join us at Swallowtail Farm for an adult and child ravioli-making workshop on November 17 at 3:00 p.m. In this workshop, we’ll roll up our sleeves to create simple and delicious egg-based squash ravioli. Pasta and ravioli making can be a great family activity— with a little teamwork you’ll find you can create delicious food and memories to enjoy together.

We'll be making butternut squash ravioli, with squash from the farm and local eggs. At the end of the workshop, participants will sit down to share a tasting/light meal of the ravioli prepared in a simple, farm-sourced ‘sauce’ and also have some ravioli to take home with them.

Our instructor, Sarah-Beth Censoni-Johnson learned from her Nonna (Italian for grandma) how to make pasta when she was a girl. It has always been a passion of hers. She owned and operated Nonna's Noodles in Portland, OR for 7 years and has made thousands of pounds of pasta. She specializes in egg based pastas, which only take 2-3 mins to cook. Now based in the Lansing area, she's ready to share her knowledge of pasta-making with us.

Please note that for this workshop we are basing it on one adult and one child age ~6+ for each $45 registration. If you want to register an additional child see option on form for $12, however if you have younger children you may need a 1:1 adult to child ratio.

We'll have Swallowtail Farm natural fruit sodas, water and tea available, or you are welcome to bring along your favorite thing to sip on.
