12/9 Flavored Pasta Making Workshop (4-6:30 p.m.)

Join us at Swallowtail Farm for an ‘intermediate’* pasta-making workshop on Sunday December 9 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. In this workshop we’ll step beyond basic egg noodles and create spinach and lemon pepper pastas. Sarah-Beth Censoni-Johnson learned from her Nonna (Italian for grandma) how to make pasta when she was a girl. It has always been a passion of hers. She owned and operated Nonna's Noodles in Portland, OR for 7 years and has made thousands of pounds of pasta. She specializes in egg based pastas, which only take 2-3 mins to cook. Now based in the Lansing area, she's ready to share her knowledge of pasta-making with us. At the end of the workshop, participants will share a tasting of some of the noodles prepared in a simple, farm-sourced sauce and also have a bit of pasta to take home with them. We'll have Swallowtail Farm natural fruit sodas available, or you are welcome to bring along your favorite thing to sip on.

  • Intermediate is a loose definition with us. This will be a great fit if you’ve made some pasta before and want to take things to the next level, but if you’re new to pasta making we should be able to get you caught up pretty quickly too :)
